Solo Guitar
Our solo guitarists career has taken her all over the world, performing in venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, Blackheath Concert Halls, St George’s Bristol, the International Guitar Festival of Great Britain at West Dean College, The International Guitar Festival at Bath and many other guitar and music festivals and societies. She has given concerts in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Los Angeles, Peru, Italy, France, and Hungary.
She toured far and wide with the much loved Appassionata Guitar Trio with Amanda Cook and Hayley Savage and made many recordings of new music and new transcriptions for three guitars. Appassionata’s recordings include Let Go (BGS 111) and Watersmeet (Cadenza CACD 0603). Appassionata were honoured to work with composers such as Paulo Bellinati, who wrote Maracatu de Pipa for them in 2004 and the late Bruce MacCombie who became a dear friend and supporter of the trio.
As a soloist our guitarist has released a CD of works by English composers ranging from the extraordinary chromatic fantasies of John Dowland, the virtuosic Five Bagatelles by William Walton, and Songs of Erin commissioned by her from the inimitable Gary Ryan. She has given solo performances at the International festivals of West Dean and Bath, at venues including Buckingham Palace and on television and radio.
