Saxophone
Our first saxophonist is a freelance woodwind performer and teacher of saxophone, clarinet and flute.
After studying at The London College of Music and The Royal Academy of music she started her performing and teaching career. She worked in the West End and The National Theatre. Shows include Cats, Cabaret, Crazy for You, Carmen Jones, 42nd street and Guys and Dolls.
Her passion for The Big Band was fulfilled by working with Duncan Lamont, Geff Hooper, The Vile Bodies, Michael Garrick and Bruce Forsyth.
Our second saxophonist is a professional freelance saxophone and clarinet player who lives in Kent.
She studied at Trinity College of Music where she developed her love of Big Band playing and she now enjoys playing regularly with Chris Dean's Syd Lawrence Orchestra on baritone sax, alto sax, clarinet and flute.
She has travelled the world from Europe to Australia, on land and sea, playing a wide range of music; with sax quartets, in theatre orchestras, with light opera and with big bands and is much in demand as a woodwind player on shows around the south east.
